Lecture for Chernobyl Children International

The August lecture is also in aid of Chernobyl Children's International, a charity organisation established by Adi Roche in 1991 to give support and hope to children living in the aftermath of the Chernobyl meltdown. Over the past 20 years, the charity has evolved to address the long-term medical and economic effects of this unprecedented nuclear catastrophe. As a direct result of the charity’s intervention, the lives of tens of thousands of children have been saved, prolonged or improved. Irish mountain photography exhibition: Lucan Library

Adrian Hendroff, author of From High Places: A Journey Through Ireland's Great Mountains and The Dingle, Iveragh & Beara Peninsulas: A Walking Guide is showcasing some of his stunning images of the Irish mountains in an exhibition at Lucan Library in Dublin. One of the aims of the exhibition is to raise the public's awareness of our magnificent mountain areas and to inspire people to explore them.
